The Swiss company DT Swiss acquired Trickstuff, a German disc brake company. The transaction was completed in January 2022. Trickstuff, based in Pfaffenweiler, Germany, has 20 years of experience in the brake market. The owner, Klauss Liedler will continue as the company's managing director.
DT Swiss said Trickstuff will operate as a company with its own brand identity, marketing, and product strategy. Trickstuff will benefit from DT Swiss' knowledge in business model development, its IT infrastructure integration, its supply-chain management capabilities, production optimization experience, and industrialization; meanwhile it is expected that both companies will cooperate and integrate projects jointly.
The merging of cross-company project teams began in December in the area of ERP system integration.
Frank Böckmann, DT Swiss Group CEO and chairman of the board expressed: "Over the years, I have cultivated a trusting exchange with Klaus Liedler and learned to appreciate him as a creative and sympathetic discussion partner" Böckmann stated that during their conversations, they often talked about prospects for Trickstuff and they concluded that the merging will benefit both companies, that is why they decided to integrate the latter into the DT Swiss Group.
Liedler expressed support of Böckmann's statements, declaring that close cooperation will benefit both companies and affirmed he was very happy with the decision, as it brings great opportunities for business and growth. He is determined to continue working on sophisticated innovations with their great team and bringing high-quality, durable, and easy-to-maintain braking systems to the market. He declared that he is looking forward to intensifying the exchange with a whole new range of colleagues in the group.
