Founded in 1924, German Abus has extensive experience in the development and production of high quality security and safety products worldwide. For nearly the last 100 years, the company has expanded its production facilities both in Germany and China, to around 3500 employees. It also has 19 branch offices and 106 international distributors throughout the world.
At TBW this year Abus is introducing its frame lock, Granit XPlus 6950M to the OE market. Additionally, its Pro Amparo series features extra-wide options with four different widths suitable for bicycles and e-bikes with wide tires and large fenders.
Additionally, Abus is now offering one-key solution for all its locks, including battery locks, ringlocks, and the optional Abus lock so customers have no need for an additional key.
The company’s R&D team has been working with major bicycle brands for over 10 years to develop customized battery locks. The brands in partnership with Abus include Bianchi, Bulls, Canyon, Flyer, Giant, KTM, Trek, Orbea, Cannondale as well as many others.
Due to insurance policies, Abus ringlocks enjoys high demand in European markets, especially in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
