The European Bicycle Manufacturers Association (EBMA) made an announcement on February 18 to their members.

President Moreno Fioravanti, who is highly respected by the industry, passed away peacefully on February 17th at the age of 62.

On behalf of all EBMA members, Secretary General Marcel Reekers mourns the loss of their committed leader and wishes his wife Sonia and his family all the strength during this difficult time.

Moreno's great contribution to the bicycle industry is obvious to all. His legacy is unprecedented, and his spirit will always be around us.

EBMA President Moreno and Wheel Giant have maintained close communication and a very friendly relationship over the years. Every year he shared the current status of the European bicycle industry and market statistics in Wheel Giant’s publications: Taiwan Bicycle Source and Global E-bike Source.

He always personally visited Wheel Giant's booth at every bicycle trade shows for interviews and discussions with Wheel Giant President Grace Ruan and Editor-in-chief Daphne Chen.

To hear this news was a shock, we’ve just recently been working together for our next edition, we are saddened to lose such a good friend.

We appreciate him a lot for his long-term hard work in the bicycle industry and his friendship with Taiwan’s bicycle industry. May he rest in peace.
