The 2025 Taipei International Cycle Show, celebrating its 36th edition, will kick off on March 26. According to TAITRA, this year’s exhibition will set new records in scale, with 980 companies from 35 countries showcasing their products across 3,600 booths. The event will highlight groundbreaking technologies and future trends in the bicycle industry. From cutting-edge e-bike technology and AI-powered cycling applications to sustainable materials and smart logistics solutions, the Taipei Cycle Show will serve as a key platform for industry exchange and a global celebration of technology, environmentalism, and lifestyle.
One of the key themes of this year’s show is “Innovation Drive,” emphasizing that innovation is the driving force behind industry progress. The Bike Vision startup zone will feature groundbreaking technologies from around the world, including AI smart navigation, automatic shifting systems, and intelligent systems that adapt to various cycling environments. These innovations are transforming the way we cycle. Additionally, the event will present the d&i Awards for innovative design, recognizing the most creative bicycle designs and technological breakthroughs worldwide, demonstrating how cycling design is aligning with the future.
Another major highlight of this year’s exhibition is “Green Forward,” which reflects the industry’s commitment to environmental sustainability. With green energy and eco-friendly technologies becoming a global focus, the bicycle industry is also moving toward a more sustainable future. In collaboration with SGS, the exhibition will promote a Green Cycling initiative, featuring brands that implement green manufacturing and circular economy practices. The Green Forward guided route will allow visitors to explore sustainable materials, bicycle recycling technologies, and the latest developments in low-carbon manufacturing.
As AI, automatic shifting, and smart data analytics enter the cycling industry, “Smart Cycling” is redefining the cycling experience. The E-Cycling Virtual Cycling Zone will offer an immersive digital experience, allowing cycling to transcend environmental and distance limitations. With smart training equipment, virtual tracks, and connections to global cycling communities, a new mode of exercise and competition will be created. At the same time, the development of smart e-bike technologies is making urban transport and logistics more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Beyond technological innovation, the “Cycling Ecosystem” also focuses on how bicycles can become a part of everyday life. This year’s TAIPEI CYCLE FORUM – Beyond Biking, will invite organizers of major international events like the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia to explore how cycling events can drive economic development, promote cultural tourism, and influence global urban planning. Through professional forums and the promotion of cycling culture, the exhibition aims to make cycling not just a sport for a few, but a daily choice for many.
